Paid Work Training Experience

Paid Work Training Experience (PWTE)

Do you feel like you’re ready to take the next step toward securing full-time employment in the community? Then you may be ready for a paid work training experience.

The PWTE program provides short-term jobs for individuals who have the knowledge, skills, and experience to perform a job on their own. Think of it as a trial run before you enter the workforce independently.

We’ll secure short-term employment for you, either in our facility or in the community with one of our local non-profit partners in a job that matches your interests and skills.

We have opportunities in a variety of areas, including:

  • Mailing
  • Clerical
  • Janitorial
  • Maintenance
  • Food Prep
  • Seasonal Decorating
  • Scanning and Document Prep
  • Inventory Processing

You’ll receive support from our staff to ensure you have the skills necessary to successfully perform and retain your job. You’ll have an opportunity to participate in classes that will help prepare you for a permanent job placement, including:

  • Financial Literacy
  • Microsoft Applications
  • Job Acquisition and Retention Skills
  • Self-Advocacy
  • Self-Determination
  • Peer Mentoring Opportunities

When you’ve successfully completed your PWTE, we’ll help you secure an outside job placement in a competitive integrated work setting.
